Surgery Update 11

2:00 p.m. - Emma continues to do well. She has a little bit of a fever, but nothing unusual for this stage in her recovery. She is becoming a little more alert, although she mostly sleeps. Amy was able to hold her for the first time since the surgery, which totally made her day. I think we expected to not be able to hold her for several days, so this was a welcome surprise.

That's wonderful that Amy got to hold her. It wasn't until we were out of the PICU that we were able to hold Nathan. I can't believe how good Emma looks!

Great news about coming of the Vent and that they have turned down the O2 twice since then.
I hope and pray that things continue to go in a positive way.
Because she was so much older in having her surgery, it amazes me from the pictures to see her luck so chunky. . .which is wonderful.
I hope to get up to visit you tomorrow early evening.
Congrats on getting to have her back in your arms too, that alone will aid in her recovery.
