Several people have asked about me since I had to make a trip to the emergency room this week. I am finally back to normal, all the swelling is gone and I am banned from ibuprofen for life. Not sure how I am going to live without that stuff!
We are a fun loving family who enjoys just about everything as long as we are together. We have an awesome 8-year-old who loves to play baseball, swim, play legos, Cub Scouts and Wii. He is kind, loving and very outgoing, he keeps us on our toes! He is in 2nd Grade and so excited about it. Our darling 18-month-old loves to laugh and play, she is sassy and doesn't stop to think if she can do something, she just does it. She had open heart surgery at 6 months old to correct a heart defect, Tetralogy of Fallot. Her journey has inspired us, and we are all the better for it.
July 2009: "Mom, I have super powers!" "Oh what are they?" I ask. "Poop and pee," he says. "Okay, and what do you use them for?" I ask. "To poop and pee!" (I promised this was our secret, so don't tell anyone!)
We were getting ready to go on a mommy and son date, and Triston asks, "Should I get ready and handsome?" I replied, "Yes, we have a hot date!" To which he said: "Mom, this is not a hot date it is sort of a Mommish/Kiddish date."
