I am just sending out a quick Emma update. Emma went to the Dr. yesterday because she wasn't breathing very well due to congestion. Sure enough her oxygen levels were a little low. We avoided getting sent to Primary because after being deep suctioned twice her oxygen saturation level went up. We were however ordered to go straight to the ER if she struggled breathing last night. So I took her to the ER around 2 am. She sounded horrible but her saturation level was 96% so around 6 am we were sent home. She has croup and they are running cultures on her boogies to see what else she may have. We have a prescription to take her to a suction clinic this afternoon and then she is going to be back at the Doctor first thing in the morning. For those of you counting, that is 5 appointments in 3 days including an entire night in the ER. After the afternoon suctioning, if Emma is still struggling tonight with breathing, she will be admitted to the hospital tonight. I had no idea the kind of marathon you run with a sick baby. Emma seems to be holding her own with this cold and she has tested negative for RSV twice so hopefully we will be past all this soon and not have to have a hospital stay. We will update everyone as we go! Please pray for Emma.
Love,
Amy
