Emma is improving!

Ok, a new update on Emma. She is slowly improving. We didn't end up having to take her to the clinic for suctioning and she has done well the last two nights. For anyone who is wondering, the deep suctioning is a tube that goes down her nose and vacuums everything out, and yes she hates it as much as we would. We went to the Dr. yesterday, and we may be going back today. Right now the illness hasn't reached her chest or lungs, but our awesome pediatrician wants to know the second it does if it does; and that means listening to her daily unless she is improving. She is still a happy little girl and has energy to play. She is so cute, when she is hungry for a bottle I tell her I am getting it and she stops crying and patently waits for it. She is also sensitive, and the award goes to Dad for finding that out the hard way. She was fussing a couple days ago and Dave was holding her and imitating her sounds. She got mad and let out a big huge angry cry. Still keep her in your prayers, since she is a little heart baby colds can be very serious. They did run a test on her little boogers, and it came back negative for everything. That means no RSV, no flu etc, just a bad cold and a little croup.

Her mom has a cold now. I am hoping it is the same one she has so I can't give her anything new. Triston is great, he is back in school after the holidays, so I am hoping he doesn't bring home any unwanted sicknesses. He is so helpful and loving to his mom and Emma. Dave told him he is a man now and he takes that very seriously, although, strangely I can't get him to change diapers! It is fun to freak him out about it though.

Amy, that is amazing. What you are doing is amazing. She is beautiful and your son is so cute!

I can relate a little, my sister's baby was born almost 3 months early. She had some pregnancy complications. Abbie weighed just over 2 pounds when she was born. She is now a year and a half and just perfect. However, having a sick baby is so hard!

I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.
